Want to get to know Panama's Indigenous Kuna Yala (Guna Yala) while island hopping through some of the most breathtaking islands in the Caribbean? Then step out of your comfort zone and into an incredible once in a lifetime experience on our day tour of the San Blas Islands! If you are looking to get off the beaten path in Panama, this is IT! Largely untouched by the outside world, the San Blas Islands are reminiscent of the uncharted deserted islands you see in movies and on TV. Absolutely breathtaking!
Hang on for the ride of your life as your 4x4 vehicle safely navigates the bumps, turns hills and thrills of the Guna Yala Comarca. This long but gorgeous journey will take us through Panama’s spectacular Darien jungle which forms a natural border between Panama & Colombia and is home to the Kuna Yala Indigenous people. Our San Blas One Day Tour begins early, so get a good night’s sleep and either enjoy a light breakfast beforehand or bring something with you on the road. You’ll be picked up in Panama City between 5:00-5:30am, and taken to Carti, the main island of the San Blas archipelago and also the main village in the Gulf of Guna Yala.
During our San Blas Island tour we’ll visit “La Isla Diabla” where a delicious lunch is served that consists of fresh fish, rice, salad, and fruit. Refreshments and beers are also available for purchase if you wish to wind down and really experience life on the islands. We’ll be able to relax in the hammocks and tire swings on the island before heading to “La Piscina de Estrellas”. This magical spot is a sight to behold. In the middle of the ocean is a raised platform that allows you to walk knee-deep in the most crystal clear waters you can imagine. You can snorkel around the area and there are plenty of star fish for everyone to see!
Up next is another beautiful island, “La Isla Fragata”, with a ship wreck nearby that you can also snorkel around and explore during your free time on the island. You may opt to do a little shopping on this last island which sells the traditional "Molas" hand sewn by the locals and make for one of the best souvenirs in Panama straight from the source! Our San Blas Day tour comes to an end around mid-afternoon. We’ll begin the journey by boat then 4x4 back to Panama City, set to arrive in the early evening around dinner time.
This amazing trip to San Blas Islands and the Guna Yala Comarca is an experience you won’t soon forget. The photo ops alone are worth the trip! Our San Blas Day tour is limited to a very small number of people, so be sure you don’t miss out! Reserve your San Blas Day Tour today!
