Departures: The catamaran departs daily at approximately 9:00 AM from Portobelo, with a minimum of 4 passengers required for the tour to operate. Optional transportation from Panama City is available, with pickup beginning approximately two hours before the Portobelo departure. Exact meeting and pickup instructions will be provided with your confirmed booking voucher.

Length: Approximately 6 hours, not including optional transportation between Panama City and Portobelo.

Children: All ages are welcome. Children 2 years old and under are free.

Restrictions: Guests must be able to climb in and out of a small boat in order to transfer between the shore and catamaran. There is no dock at the boarding location, so a small boat transfer is required. Guests who wish to swim or snorkel must also be able to safely climb in and out of the boat or water independently.

Insider Tip: Want to see a different side of Panama? This is it. The Caribbean coast around Portobelo is a favorite getaway for locals, but it sees far fewer international tourists than some of Panama's better-known island destinations. That means you get a chance to experience a more relaxed and authentic side of the country.

Our advice? Bring the snacks, bring the beverages, and add the lunch. Once you're out on the water and exploring the beaches and mangroves, there aren't many opportunities to purchase food or drinks.
